    Hi all,

    I have Epiphone SG (G-400) made in Czech Republic that I bought new back in the late 90's. It's a really good guitar (being a cheaper epiphone and all), much higher quality than the asian built versions (I have probably played 15-20 of them over the years). The guitar is very vibrant and it has a thin great neck that is really easy to play. Overall, it's a GREAT guitar (better then most SG Special, faded, etc, versions I have played).

    I've done a bit of research and found out that it is probably made in 1997 (according to the serial number), however, there doesn't seem to be a lot of of other information on these Czech made Epiphones SGs.

    I've seen some info on the Les Paul models, but not so much on the SG. The only other SG I've seen so far (in a video) was a SG Custom (66-69-ish). Mine is more of a 61-ish reissue model, with the drop pick guard.

    Does anybody know anything about these guitars? Like;

    What are the different czech made SG models?
    Which years where they produced? (1996-200x?)
    How many was made?
    What wood was used (possibly Alder in mine?)
    Electronics
    etc...

    Here is a few picture of my guitar:
