Hi there ! New here, and about to own a Epi LP, black custom, Samick made. Don't know much about it yet, so hope to get some info on specs and comments !
It's an attick found item, been in the case for about 20 years..

Welcome along, and nice guitar! So me folks with more knowledge than I will help fill in the gaps, but a good place to check specs etc is the Epiphone wiki (unofficial) but it does have an erratic server, so may not always be up...

But it's a mine of Info when it is :thumb:

I don't think Epi made any 'Custom Classics' in '92

Probably not :) The uncovered pickups was a hint in that direction though. But they are most likely aftermarket added later.

Ok.. any hints on how to find out if the pickups are stock or swapped? Are there any codes , marks or signs on the back of the stock ones?

They are definitely replacements. The originals would have gold covers and say Epiphone or have some other Asian ID.

Take the strings off, flip 'em over and take some pics.

Whatever they are, they are better than what it came with - Epiphone had pretty sh!tty pickups back then.

And now it's cleaning it, polishing the frets and oiling the fretboard.. 20170613_213529.jpg

It plays very well, and the 59 duncans sound really great. Pleased beyond expectations !
