Decided to open auction this one.

Pros: Original pickups, insane flame top, great playability and awesome finish
Cons: Headstock Repair, though one of the best-hidden repairs I've seen.

Perfect Les Paul Weight at 8lbs 13.3oz
Nice 60s Profile neck: Not too slim, but not overbearing

Ends this Sunday around 4pm EST

I just bought an 89 prehistoric gold top. Not sure what the specs are, what the original pups should be, or if its an r0,r9,r7 or whatever. Any help would be great. Sent pics to Gibson...awaiting a response. They did tell me that its a prehistoric.

If its an '89 - it should have the circuit board HB-L, HB-R bill lawrence designed pickups. If it was the one on ebay, you're in the clear. The next pickups used were the 490 series

It will have a short neck tennon and be more based on an R7

I've got some pics. Gibson says its an 89 custom shop reissue. The rep said it looks to be a '59 goldtop, not a 56/57 or 58 which is throwing everyone off. Also said to have factory installed SD Alnico 2's, slash type PU's. The neck is super slim like a classic. The board is really dark and check out the wiring. Totally baffled. Any info or insight would be awesome at this point.
