By the way,I am not a business, "My Music Store" is the name of the local store that is selling 3 guitars and one amp for me I don't own the store but it is easier for me and better for buyers to do it this way. I just wanted to be clear on that because I think my ad was moved from the "members classified". If I made a mistake when I first posted this ad in the Member classified section I appologize for the trouble.

Thanks! It's a 4578 VTZ made in Germany in the 60s or early 70s. It's in great shape and all original except for a new trc and a nos tremolo spring I got from Musikeller in Germany. It plays great and all the electronics and effects(Tremolo Boost and Fuzz) work like they should. You don't see many of these in America because they didn't sell many here. They were too expensive as you can see by the 1967 catalog at the bottom.

Pretty high tech bridge saddles for back then. :thumb:

BTW if you have any pics of the on board electronics circuit it would be really interesting to see what they use for the Fuzz and other effects back then. :)

I don't have any photos of mine but here is a gut-shot of another Hofner guitar with treble boost and fuzz boost. the compartment shape is a little different but I think the components are the same.

Sure thing, hey, did you see this video I posted of similar Hoffner?

The one in the video is different than mine as that one has a built in Wah-Wah and no tremolo or Treble Boost(F-holes look painted on too) but at least you can hear what the built-in Fuzz sounds like.

The one on my guitar is a little different because in addition to the Fuzz there is a Treble Boost and the 2 effects can be combined. Also there is an internal trim control to increase or decrease the fuzz.

Treble boost can work well with a lot Fuzz circuits and on a darker sounding, semi hollow body guitar seems like that would be a nice option for sure. ;)
