HCT commented on the number of Factory Standards made from
1973-74. How many are there actually? If you got one post it.

Mine was a Deluxe (full size HBs from the factory..) but I have heard that a Standard would be TSB while the Deluxe was CSB. Seems to be true IME..

Have these gotten ridiculous on the prices lately or what??

The issue about production of standards is that the shipping totals show a low number shipped, but in fact the shipping totals are probably wrong and production of standards was much higher.

Here's my '74 standard. Bought it new, have only replaced the knobs, tuners and switch tip. Has sustain for days, weighs in at exactly 10 pounds.

so it came with the TRC?

81 I base my knowledge of how many I have seen first hand....when I discuss that with people that I know like HotBrit that have seen a ton also (and based with the inconsistency of other shipping records from Gibson), it is obvious that the numbers are wrong.....Gibson has even admitted the ledgers are not complete.

I have a bacco. I'll try and get a pic or two loaded here soon. To my understanding I'm the second owner. Came out of Kentucky. The son of first owner sold it at an action where the shop I bought if from purchased it. Great condition. Original frets and no headstock break. Missing 2 original pots. Plays really well and the pups sound great to me. Honorable weight at just under 9 pounds. I never did a NGD thus this thread is a good excuse to introduce her to you all.

really nice...what is the serial number??

There is something about the reflector knobs on these though...you should look for an old set.
