That is nice. I haven't seen one that clean in a long time.

    Don't let Townsend see that...

Reeks of axe minimalism. One P90 and a one piece TOM bridge. The tuners are laughable by todays standards but they too are minimalist indestructible perfection.
Sorta like Gibson described the universe and everything in it in one single word.

Thanks for the kind words, yeh it is a great guitar.
I originally bought it on a whim, I have never had a vintage guitar before and this seemed like the best way in, its got all the right parts and still relatively cheap.
I always wondered if the sound and feel a vintage Gibson was just a myth created by the have's to make the have not's feel like they are missing out.
One thing I can say from owning this guitar is......your missing out!
It's not by much, but there is a un-quantifiable something about it, I am not sure if its the guitar itself or the way you feel playing it but it just does everything a little better than anything else I have had, some call it "mojo" or "magic" but for me it's just the fact that I am it's custodian for a short time in its long history, it's a kinda special feeling, a privilege.

Any how, enough of my yackin'

It sounds like this: (excuse the crap playing)

Everyone talks about old wood, old p90s etc and I would not argue against the view that they are something special.
However, for me the defining quality of old Gibson road warriors is they feel like guitars that have "settled."
It's like riding a very well schooled horse. It knows it's job better than you do.

    ^^^^^^^^^ yeah, this! ^^^^^^^^

Or like a perfectly worn in baseball glove. It just wants to catch the ball. :applause:

I can scarcely resist walking by by 64 Special without picking it up and playing at least a couple of riffs. :slash:
