    One of those lessons life has been hammering into me for 40+ years;

    Never say never.

    Unlikely? Probably. But never? Who knows? I've seen some really cool stuff, funny stuff, that I'd "never" thought I'd ever see...

    One tiny example; Was just watching Good Morning America...had Tom Hanks on. In the interview, he dropped the F bomb.

    I "never" thought I'd see.....oh wait...I just did. :D

    Dear eric ernest, do you if Gibson will one day make a replica of your guitar ?

    I love how a real Burst has a one piece Neck heel, unlike Gibsons today...
    Not being a guitar maker I dont know the ins and outs or making necks, but it seems they put wings on the head stock to save wood (width wise), and it must be so much easier today to cut the neck by adding the heel later.

    I wonder how much this affects sustain etc, must be negligible and unproven, but coming from someone who has worked on many old cars in Australia = every little bit counts...

    Love it!!

    All Les Pauls today have a one piece neck (except the headstock wings). Why do you think the heel is glued on?

    Thats obscene! I'm actually scowling at it, pissed that it's real hahaha. That's just jealousy though!

    hoss, The original LPs always had HS wings as well, yeah?

    That's funny, my son said he felt weird..."like everybody could see him." LOL! Didn't even occur to me.

    That's a flight case on the right side of the photo. :(

    I'm sure you are glad you made the trip. Terrific show. :thumb:
