Thanks fellas. Sorry that it has taken me so long to respond, but the computer died. Peter, I really don't play very often these days. This guitar is usually in it's case and if I do need a guitar, there's always one lying around. I believe that the strings on it have been on there for over six years. I think that it's time for a re-string! I did take it out to a friend's house at Christmas and use it for several hours. In general though, it doesn't get much use.

Bump for just one hell of a story!

I hope you've changed the strings by now?

    Cheers! :thumb:

I'll change them, and provide your choice of strings, if I could play it!

Pop into the squawk box room sometimes.. I'm gonna be building a Champ amp and will detail the build in a thread there. Should start the build when my parts get here Friday.

Amazing thread, great story - and a beautiful guitar. I'm really happy that you've got so much pleasure out of it. They were made to be enjoyed, not to sit in a bank vault somewhere. Cheers, mate.

    Yeah, what he said....LOL

It's nice to know someone sees this as what it really is....an old guitar that looks/sounds beautiful, but doesn't hyperventilate every time they mention it.

Enjoy it as long as you can...and thanks for allowing it to be photographed for the rest of us to see/drool.

Thanks you two. Red, don't kid yourself, every once in a while I pinch myself when I see it just as a reminder that it's mine.
