    From this thread:
    http://www.mylespaul.com/threads/1957-les-paul-custom-is-this-for-real.400124/
    I created a new thread here, to get more visibility (not everyone checks out the eBay deals section).

    Price seems low if it truly is the real thing. ...who sells some thing like this on eBay if it's genuine?? I must agree with your skepticism. :squint:

    It's a fake. More research has gone on in the other MLP thread.

    My bet is for a scratch made attempt, not the typical chinese knock off.

    I thing they went a little heavy on the 'relicing". the green corrosion on the braided wire is something I've never seen before.

    I've had no response from the seller, even after I let him know his guitar is a fraud, and that the story he provides lets us know the fraud is intentional.

    I've also sent questions to the seller, no replies either. Of course fraud is intentional, a 57 with a rosewood board, a banana instead of a proper cutaway, and a collection of mistakes and after market parts.... can't be serious in any way.

    Also this is clearly a scammer activity (unless you are not automatically raising the bid, which is imho not a great idea);

    jan, I apologize for thinking you might be part of the scam.

    Are you looking for an actual 1957 Les Paul? That one was a fake.
