    Tuning up this little monster to use in the studio. Upgraded the original field coil 10" to the re-issue Jensen and replaced the OT with a Hammond unit from a B3. I need to fab me up a back panel for it!
    2x 6V6, 2x 6CS7, 1x 5Y3 - 12watts. :cheers:

    Ok here is a clip with some sloppy licks and a little jazz riff. Vol=7 and tone=9. Best I could do with a propped up I phone. I also got my repro back cover installed. It's a little thick.. and I need to age the tolex a little I think...

    Details, pics, and clips to come. It's late, family is asleep and I'm beat. Fired it up briefly, it's cool! Proper run through in the next few days.

    Awesome! Looking forward to the review. It appears a PO took care of the handle problem on yours! :applause:

    Yeah, from what I have seen of it, the hand and the three prong cord are the only non-original parts. Even a few of the tubes look original. That could be good or bad...

    @Pappy58 finally got around to capturing a decent tone clip of the amp. All apologies on my playing... ; ) Straight in, no pedals/effects

    Dude that is an awesome sounding old amp and stylish playing for sure. You would be more than welcome at our weekly blues jam! :thumb: :acoustic:

    What model is that one exactly? Does it have a field-coil speaker? :hmm:

    @Pappy58 Thank you!

    I *think* it's a Model 1200, but really not sure. No identifying marks to specify a model that I can find. Serial dates to 1950.

    It does have the original field-coil speaker, and all but one of the 6L6's look to be original as well - or era correct at least. The three prong cord, and new handle seem to be the only mods.

    Here's a link to an identical amp but Oahu branded:

    and some pics of mine - those are the settings I had it one when I made the recording. It sounds better and even more responsive dimed, but the cell phone speaker can't handle it at that volume.

    6L6 or 6V6? Assuming the latter it's appears it's the exact same as mine expect for the color and the product name. Your's sounds a little smoother but mine has a new RI jensen with only a few hours break in. Awesome amps! Well done!

    @Pappy58 Definitely 6v6. I agree, I think it is the same. I might do one more clip - if I can get the cell phone to pick it up reasonably well - of a P90 running through it fully cranked. A real "Can't you hear me knocking" type tone, mmmm... ; )

    These are great. I haven't gigged with it yet. The band I gig with I need almost crystal clear cleans, and dirt only on the solos, so this probably isn't amp for that setting. I need to find a jam, or a guest spot I can where I can down and dirty with this thing mic'd through a proper P.A.
