Maybe did the math was an exaggeration, More like estimated the numbers.

I wasn't casting judgement on anyone's post count. I was just amused that some people are here 5 years and have a couple hundred posts, most a couple thousand but a select few many 10s of thousands. I then considered the time and energy involved in posting 30-100 times A DAY and simply couldn't believe anyone actually did so. So I assumed there had to be some other explanation for such high post counts.

Hell, if I post 2-3 times a day it feels like I'm living my life here. Then I look at a guitar hanging on the wall and think "What new technique or style could I work on instead of being an internerd?" .......then I keep reading and posting anyway cuz talking about guitars is almost as much fun as playing them.

I suffered from three life threatening illnesses at one point. Laid me up for a while. Is that a good enough excuse?

I'm much better now. Physically that is.

But really..the forum used to be very different. Ask anybody. I invested some time (with others' cooperation)in trying to make a civil little corner where some friends and I could shoot the **** without drama and meltdowns. Um....mostly. :laugh2: that took some effort believe it or not. Which accounts for a lot of my posts.

I often wonder if deleted posts and threads count in my total number.
    I think not.

I love this forum. If it had a broken hand or arm or healing up a new hip or something (all of which I've done) I would be living on here for awhile.

One thing I really like about mylespaul is that people have fairly thick skins and don't seem to hold grudges, in general. And at least in the areas I hang out most people know WTF they are talking about. And its fun.

I used to hang out on a different lpf but it was so dry and snooty. Got boring.

Ever try the Marshall forum? I love my Marshalls and love to read about them, but if I read one more guy claim that Jimmy Page customized his Marshalls, that EVH used a variac to increase power, that someones amp is clearly not stock because HE had never seen one like it, or that Marshalls are louder because British watts are more powerful I'm gonna puke. There's people that know what's up there, and MANY MANY that know jack and just parrot the nontechnical superstition and lore.

This forum is a wealth of information, with mostly good natured BS keeping it entertaining. I'm glad I found it. Now about my post count.......

No way someone has 10 per day for 5 years.

    Nobody has 180,000+ posts.
