Of course I love the Gibby 295 but am intrigued with Epiphone's version and especially the fact they are made in Korea with Gibson P90s.

    Thoughts?

    Has anyone played one?

    Never seen one over here....

but if they are built similar to the ES-175Premium (and I think they are)
it must be a great guitar :thumb:

I know some do not like the B70 while 1 main grip is the P90s are too hot and overwound. Consistent feedback has been complaints about the dimension/specs being different than the original 275 and that the tone is more equipped for George Thorogood rather than Scotty Moore.

I've played several and basically like them.
If they had the original wraparound trapeze, I would own one in a second.
Some can't bond with the tension bar Bigsby.
I'm a fan of Epi hollow and semi-hollow guitars.
I think they're an incredible value, and most can be made to play as well as ANYTHING (yup...I said that) with a few tweaks.
    I haven't played a bunch of 295s, but I've played a LOT of P90 Epis.
The pickups run hot and cold (see what I did there?)
I had a ZBD where the DCR was over 13 and it sounded terrible.
I've gigged a '56 GT and even a cheapo Special I that sound great.
    Epi pickups aren't consistent.
BTW...I unwound those ZBD pickups to around 8.5 and they KILLED!
