Laying it on the grass won't hurt it unless you chemically treat your lawn. Nice look Lester though!

Laying it on the grass will hurt it:A-anyone that can afford one is treating their grass-B-some grasses have sawtooths(I work in a hardware store). What's the S/N if it is not a RI.

Not slim taper, I will say something in between. Really comfortable. By the way I still have it.

Re: Vintage 1960 Burst

Guitars wont fall apart if you lay them on the grass.

Same way you wont get grass stains on your paints just by sitting on grass. Don't RUB your ass on it or you will... So unless you plan on dragging your guitar across the lawn, I'm pretty sure its fine.

While you're at it, get some respiratory masks and latex gloves, and you better damn well dim the lights before you even look at your precious guitar. Light itself, on all spectrums causes more damage to a guitar than a blade of grass. Why do you think they don't allow flash photography of the Mona Lisa, or David? Don't even think about playing it. What are you, a musician or something?

Beautiful guitar by the way. The refinish is nice, but I prefer the tobacco sunburst. Looks great though!

Re: Vintage 1960 Burst

Grass isn't gonna hurt a guitar unless you leave it laying there for a week. I have set hundreds of guitars on grass at various times in my life(usually at gigs where the guitar stand crate disappears!), and have NEVER had an issue.

Re: Vintage 1960 Burst

That's painful to look at!(three of them!!!)

Grass should be alright in most cases, but when people photograph them laying them on asphalt, a concrete car park, or a brick porch is when I start to get nervous.
