You know Roman I thought about that, but it's a playa and I kinda like having it that way. I think if I fix too much it will be over board.

Re: "This OLD Les Paul"

Ok guys sorry that I have been away. I completely forgot I posted here too. Thank you for all the kind words and encouragement. At the Moment I had to wait for some binding and a pickguard to be custom cut From Chris Mirabella. He is a busy man with all his accoustic stuff. I am glad he was able to ge to it. The Guard looks great as they are only for 52-53.
As it stands Larry is going to plug everything that has a hole, jack plate screw holes, headstock tuner holes etc.. The wraptail stud anchors will be drilled this week. Then the guitar will go to PhilTone music in Baltimore Md. Phil does frets everyday all year long and has a Plek. I will have him fret the guitar, then put the binding on and leave a little nibs. After that is done I will instally the electronics to see how the bugger sounds. I then will await my call from Dave Johnson to send the guitar for it's proper clothing.
After the binding channel was cut

You know the other 52-53 I got, Phil wanted to do the frets on that for me and he asked what was going on on this. After playing Plaintops Conversion after Phil did his plaining on the fretboard and the frets, I was convinced he is the best at this. Phil has had 58-60's Burst in his shop to refret. I think one 60 was in three times. I have been so busy with work and my band I just haven't had the time to get it moving faster. I had Larry do a lot of work on other guitars for me.
It will great to see yours refinned too.

You know I could go all gold and cover everything or Dark back Gold TOp, but I want to burst the top and call her Patches.

You like the reflectors admit it.

Phil said the Bridge was off on that one, so he will dowel with maple and then redrill in the right spot. Where's cherrick when you need him.

Re: "This OLD Les Paul"

Playable. The headstock tuner holes redowel with a taper, and the tailpiece stud anchors drill and put in with the stud/wraps. Even hot wired this guitar just sound amazing, I can't put the guitar dow. No binding on the neck yet. Phil will have that done. The worst part is the wait. I may just wire the guitar up and play it as is.

Re: "This OLD Les Paul"

Sorry, I am waiting for an opening with Phil Jacoby to do the binding and frets. He is still working on my other 52-56 conversion. He has had some family stuff that has needed him there for them. I am playing this guitar as is and it just sonically perfection. I can't wait to get it all done and have all the electronics ie... neck pickup installed.

Yah man and it will be a work of art. Please make sure you tell Dave to make the Nitro thin. I have had better success when he does that. You will love the feel when it shrinks back. Me happy for ya.
