1956 Special (Pics and clip)

I posted this at the other forum, but I guess not everybody is a member there.

I'd like to show off my new-to-me 1956 LP Special that I bought from Phil at Maverick Music. I had the frets replaced and now it's back home.

I've posted this clip before, but here is how she sounds:

SoundClick artist: Martin Lin - page with MP3 music downloads

Here is how she looks:

That looks and sounds just like they should! Beautiful, you must be really chuffed with it.

What amp in the clips? Captures the essence of P90s very nicely, clean into dirt as an extension of the player.

Cool! Going to have a careful listen with better equipment. I'd heard the fractal models were good, and you might have just changed my mind about amp modeling...

What fret wire did you put on? Who did the job, can you show a closeup pic of the frets? I'm thinking about doing the same thing. Thanks!

The fret wire is Stewart Mac 149. Norio Imai in NYC did the work. I'll try to get around to taking some pictures on Tuesday.

(drool silently falls from a corner of my mouth)

hey, beautiful axe! Love the TV Yellow finish... I've lusted after one for ages, but even the beat up ones are $8500 now - and that's with reduced prices 'cause of the economy (damn those financiers and george bush!)
