Awww **** there goes my keyboard!!!

Beautiful guitar man, Jimmy Page was the reason I got serious about the guitar and really enjoyed music.

Seriously though thanks a lot for posting that pic, it's like looking at all my inspiration and the reason I began to play it's amazing.

Damn, woulda been the Shizzle to see the man (the hammer of the Gods) holding it for us. I would have been oh so whole happy and inspired by that. Maybe Jimmy can make us a courtesy call here with it someday. For me he's still the ****in man and God bless him he always will be for me.

Being on my side of the world, I suppose I would never have a chance to even see, let alone touch that magical guitar. People would come for miles to see that, it really SHOULD be in a museum, along with Jimmy Hendrix axe that his family sold off for $850,000 a couple years back. Awesome post...

WOW If the re-issue black 3 pickup LP is going for 6K and a signed one is going for 25k and we're talking about a re-issue that the man his self has signed. Wonder what this would go for at auction.?

True story:

The day I photographed the guitar I was collecting a Strat body from an associate of Jimmy's for Ronnie Wood and I met him at Jimmy's house and while I was there I asked if No1 was around. He graciously showed it to me. Remember this is the Les Paul that Jimmy got from Joe Walsh and while I was checking it out it began to thunder and lightning outside.

When I left I took the tube (underground train) from Kensington High Street to Tottenham Court Road and at the bottom of the escalator there was a busker playing 'Stairway To Heaven' which freaked me out a little. When I arrived at Tottenham Court Road there was another busker playing 'Hotel California' which really freaked me out.

I also have pictures of the guitar Tom Murphy made for Jimmy.
I thought that #1 was the 1958 Burst that he bought in the early days of Zepplin and the 1959 was the guitar that he got from Joe Walsh?

So did I once. If you do the research the current story is that #1 was bought from Joe Walsh in the early days of Zeppelin, and althought touted as a '58 originally is actually a '59, or possibly a '60.

#2 is definitely a '59, and probably wasn't bought from Joe Walsh.

There's a lot of mystery around Led Zep and JPP.

Ill put them in my album for you...check it out in like 20 mins. I can't stop looking and drooling over these pics. I saved them immediately thinking that they would disappear like they did. Jimmy Page is quite the mysterious character.

I did just that yesterday and downloaded the pics, now one of them is my wallpaper. It's a good thing some of us had a clear enough mind to download them when they were posted. Hey did anyone notice that the knob pointer is missing from the lead pickups Volume knob. The other knobs have them, that one doesn't.??? Maybe that's where the coil tap is.???

I've corrected my statement from Tone knob to Volume knob. Thanks Liam.

Nor me, good spot, but the volume knob, surely? Or am I too drunk to be operating a computer again?

Re: Jimmy Page's No1

Liam, No you're not too, drunk. It's me, in my excitement of discovery, I stated the tone knob when it is the volume knob. Thank you sir for the correction. Now have another pint on me.
