OK forum members ! .. Here we have another installment of is it vintage or not ??? Please Vote in the poll and feel free to explain your answer ! This guitar is either a vintage 50's Burst or a Historic !!

I say it's the real deal- no doubts at all. I'm going to go for the extra points here and say it's a '59.

It looks right to me - the parts, the top in particular, the color...
The inlays do look a little orange though...?

Just through browsing the threads, I have come to the conclusion that you have a thing for '59's, so I just thought I'd give it a go....I have a 1 in 3 chance no matter what

Bobbo,yes i would put money on it,not much,but i'd have afew bob on it.it just looks right . The bend on the pickguard bracket is enough.

Mind you, the rhythm treble and bridge thumbwheels look a bit thick for originals. Maybe its the photos? I'm still sure it's real

The p'up rings don't look historic nor the scratch guard. Colour varies on photographs and printing.It's real Bobbo.

I am stickin to my guns here, Same tune, its a historic Metal looks chemically aged , No checking I can see on the guitars finish, no nicks dings to be found Guitar is too new with chemically aged metal

I KNOW it's a real burst , I mean i've changed my mind about the money . I'd like to bet Bobbo $2,400 so I can buy '' Burst Gang'' at the ''buy it now'' price on ebay.

is historic. check out the input jack plate. rounded corners? thats not historically accurate. only the gibson custom shop. maybe a late 90's early 00's model.

Actually Axe !! Gibson used 2 different jackplates in the 57 to 60 period one was the more commonly seen squared plate and another was a thicker and more rounded version !!

Sorry to argue, but this jack plate is correct for a mid to late '59 Les Paul.I'm 200% sure the whole guitar is real. That scratch guard bracket says it all.
