Do they have a Borders or Barns and Nobles or some kind of big chain book store near you?

At those places you can get pretty much any book and if they don't have it most of the time they will order it for you. You don't even have to pay shipping or anything.

Bought a newer copy at the Philly Show for J.K.Lutherie, who I absolutely recommend Got mine for $30!

The older edition I gave to my friend, the pages are less glossy and the new edition, the paper is thinner.

I mean - who owns 9 0901? And why won't they sell it to me?

And who currently owns the Brockburst?

I think mine looks like 9 0640 - what about yours?

That is the Perry Burst !!! It was used by Joe Perry in his Aerosmith days until sold !!! Supposedly to fuel one of Joe's drug binges !!! It was purchased by Slash of GnR fame and used for a while , Then Slash gave it back to Joe as a birthday present a few years after !!!

Hi fellow BOTB fans,

Bobbo has suggested I come here to try and solve the mystery that is Flat/Rift/quarter sawn and book/flitch matched.

I hope you've all studied the diagrams and text in BOTB - not just the purdy burst pics - and you can help me work out which is which.

As I have covered in another thread, I've used my 93 Classic PP as reference. Initially I thought it was a bookmatched rift/quarter sawn top. Following advice from other MLPers, I now think it's actually bookmatched flat sawn (maybe with a bit of rift in there).

Can any BOTB fans clarify for me? Apologies in advance to those who are sick of seeing my Lester
