Nothing like that in my copy! I believe that those are from "Burst Gang" - Stumble did mention that in his post - I didn't realize it was a book title at first either.

BOTB is great though - get a copy! The shop owner at our local Gibson dealer is borrowing mine at the moment - I asked if he'd seen a copy yet one day "no, but can I borrow it!?" Its a book worth reading and drooling over...

I bought the Japanese version when it first came out, since I had no idea if it ever would be done in English (it later did). As far as printing quality and color goes (I used to be a printing press operator), the Japanese version is much better that the USA Hal Leonard version. I've been very fortunate to see quite a number of the Bursts in that book in person, and to be honest, on some of them the color does not look like the pix in the book.

I also have Burst Gang, which is a great book if you can find a copy and have the $$$ and can read Japanese. LOL

no the book isnt available anymore....the author only made a very small amount between 100 and a 1000 i think

Last time I saw Morry the author, he was in a wheelchair. A few years back he told me he wanted to do an English version, but since so much time has passed I kind of doubt it will happen. He signed my copy, which is kind of cool.

I think I paid around a C-note for the book, and at the time I thought I was insane for paying that for a book. I saw one on Ebay recently for some ridiculous sum.

I just bought BOTB today. I had never really been all that interested in 'bursts before, but after picking up my Clinic replica last week, I'm suddenly very interested.

The guy at Steve's in Toronto said their one copy of the book only came in yesterday, so it was obviously kismet that I happened to walk in today looking for it.

Ok I just spent the last week with my copy, I have found that 8 3069 would be my favorite to play. 8 5489 has got the best top I have ever seen, not that the rest dont make me drool too.

Cool pics but the text does nothing for me, I keep it because it's different.

Got mine a week and a half ago - this thread put the peer pressure on.

After looking at all the Bursts for a few days, I was convinced I needed to get a refin on my R9. Gonna send it to HM whenever my name comes up on the list. Love the amber/orange hue the aged lacquer gives. Gonna get a really faded refin.
