Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
Are any of those on the LZ DVD that came out about 7 years ago?

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
Ron Wood and Jeff Beck look like brothers - must get their rocker wigs from the same place!

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
if people have never seen this clip...for sure check it out...Japan 1971....it's pretty chopped up.....but Plant could sing his ass off live back then
some nice Page stuff too. live stuff starts at 2:45 some great old footage...again really chopped up...it's a little hard to listen to...you're going to be wishing they'd release MORE of these clips....I know these are only snippets and although they may not have full shows...my guess is many of these clips are in fact longer...and as I said before....I'd buy in a second a collection of 20 hours of this footage on DVD NO problem

Has anyone seen a Page signature Black Beauty that has been modded to look like this? (no cover on bridge pickup, exposing double black bobbins, cover still on middle pickup, no cover on zebra neck pickup, all gold Bigsby, and black reflector cap knobs with gold metal inserts....and bumblebee caps inside the control cavity) .........

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
Has Page ever been seen playing an ES-335-type guitar?

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
He played a Gibson semi hollow guitar in IMGL and at the O2; but i think it looked more like an ES 350 single cutaway.......not sure what it was......this is it

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
There are also pics of him playing/holding a Switchmaster and a Gretsch but I'd like to see him play a semi-hollow.
Oh well...

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
No it's full-hollow, it's like an L-5 except with multi-ply maple top back and sides instead of solid carved maple back and sides and solid carved spruce top, and it's thinner than an L-5 It's rather resistant to feedback as well, which makes it popular for applications such as this. Oh and it's got a short 23.5 inch scale length like a Byrdland (as apposed to like a 24.75 for a Les Paul or 25.5 for an L-5 or Fender guitar.

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
this has definitely been posted here....but it's so good and something I've watched easily 20-30 times myself....I wanted to add it up
and here's something I haven't seen added up here although I am sure most hard core youtubers have seen it: talking with Les Paul: these Arizona interviews are really good: and the sound check for the show: and part 2: a very young Jason Bonham on these....from Arizona 1988.. enjoy and happy 4th of July!

Re: Jimmy Page ... Banjo string swap
Probably tied it on in some manner, which is not as outrageous as it sounds. I read an interview with BB King once where he talked about doing that. He's notorious for winding the entire string onto his tuners and one of the reasons was in case he broke a string. If he had enough left over he was simply unwind what he needed, retie the string and re-tune.

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
Anyone know if Page's Genesis book has a clear pic of the back of his 1977 U S Tour white dragon suit? Looks like a two-headed dragon on the back up near the top.

Very cool clip right here. Me thinks there were some lines done prior to this scene!

Re: Jimmy Page ... History of his Guitars !!!
I don't think Jimmy did any partaking in the lines department. He had the look, "now here's two rather dodgy blokes" on his face in the back stage scene.
Now Steven and Joe on the other hand ... |
