Bullpuckey. If the guy in the video is Neil from Neil's Vintage Guitar in PA, he's the guy that bought it on ebay and he's the one that owns it. There isn't another guy that "owns it" and hired him for that research. The lawyers must have finally called and said it's okay to sell it now...

LP only perfected/pushed the limits (as he did with just about everything else he did) when he became the first person to custom-order one of the first Ampex 8-track recorders. Not that he wasn't a great musician/inventor/innovator, but if most people actually took the time to do a little research, they'd realize that his main contribution to the LP (besides the Trapeze TP and gold finish) was his name/status. He was basically the "Slash" of the '50s. As for the value of his personal/modified guitars? Sadly, they're not worth what most people think, except to maybe a few choice collectors? Because, the bottom line is, yes, they were LPs guitars, but they were modded by him, for him, therefore would be of little use to most players from a playability POV.
