Re: Some humans must be killed!

They murdered that innocent guitar. She hasn't done nothing bad to the guy who bought it but... He decided to slaughter the little poor guitar.

Thats terrible, I hate to see guitars get stripped of their hardware/electronics and parted out.

Re: Some humans must be killed!

There's one exactly like that here in STL...it was done in the 60s, and is the dude's slide guitar. Band called Mama's Pride.

I saw this guitar in person a couple of years ago.

Re: Some humans must be killed!

you have to be a pompous idiot to want that much for a destroyed instrument like that. that guitar is no more then 60 year old wood now. it's been robbed of almost everything that makes it an awesome vintage guitar. i'd give the seller 20$ for it.

Re: Some humans must be killed!

The ebay add and the photo of the band I think are differeny guitars. The add one has a smooth taper to the neck. The band picture one seems to have a bump before it tapers to the neck. So two guitars have been molested, maybe by the same guy.

Re: Some humans must be killed!

It WAS a dealer in Cologne till end of the 90's, a LOT of obscure, strange guitars and 'funny' deals.............
Beginning of the 90's they had an 'original' 57 strat, original colour black, so I went in with 3 screwdrivers........and they threw me out of the shop....questions?

Re: Some humans must be killed!

That's why I think it's kinda funny on the "should I mod my...." threads...

Fifty years from now, somebody is going to be bitching mightily about how all those zipperheads in the early 2000s should be killed for the damage they did with soldering irons and routers.

Okay, who has the rope? It looks like we have two stops to make, so bring extra.

Re: Some humans must be killed!

It's disgusting to do that to a nice lil old guitar. It was probably done in the drug fueled 1960-70s or something
Funny thing it might be cool to make a guitar shaped like that but MAKE one not butcher something nice

Previous owner was probably a Brian Jones fan and couldn't find a Vox to trade it for.

Are you talking about music plus in Cologne, Hansaring strasse or something like that? I was there a few times, really strange strange place but lots of nice stuff there, but overpriced and that dude was a creep.

Thats the guy Joe's talking about. I have been there too. Back in the 90s everyone told me to avoid this shop under any circumstances, actually that was pretty much common knowledge in the music scene over here. Most of the guitars were puzzled together from various parts but sold as "original" vintage. Can't imagine how many great instruments this guy ripped apart.
