Re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread !!!
...I had a forum members R4 in hand on Saturday. It has the "30 over 60" neck profile.THAT is a great neck profile. Not too thick and not too thin and has the softer shoulders on it.
Find a R with that neck profile and I think you'll love it.

Re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread !!!
Very late 1959 pot markings
![]() ![]() Not a great photo but the number reads 1345950, I'm sure most people will know, but just in case ,134 is the makers [Centralab] number ; 59 is the year of manufacture ;50 is the 50th week of the year of manufacture. Last edited by single cut 54; 08-06-2008 at 07:56 AM. |

Re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread !!!
Awesome thread!
Here's my contribution. I took these pics to try and show the roll marks on 50's trussrod covers. This cover is on a '57 goldotop... ![]()

Re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread !!!
Hello Sgt P, I only had the pots in my possession for a short time and didn't measure.I must admit this earth-loop wire looks to be thicker than the norm, which
on others that I've measured has been 0.037''.Thats,near enough, 20SWG this side of the pond but 19AWG in USA . Last edited by single cut 54; 08-07-2008 at 05:52 AM. |

Re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread !!!
The pots were purchased from a well known ,respected and trusted US
dealer. There is no doubt that the pots are the real deal But that wire does look a little ''iffy''. |
