re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread
Hey Kim, I was looking at the P-90s on your site... How does an original compare to a new Gibson one or a current replacement? I was thinking of getting an original 50's one for my Jr.

![]() Special pickguards. The guard on top is off the TV and the guard on bottom is off the cherry one.Note the pickup route differences between the two. Goes to show that these were hand cut, unlike today's pickguards.

re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread
Late fifties inlay change of pattern on a P90 Les Paul. Notice the Large Frets and nibs. Large frets were thought to only come on late 58-59 Standards. UH AHH!

re: The Official Vintage Les Paul Parts Thread
Newb and amateur here .. so take it easy
Can someone please explain why the "50's" harnesses depicted here don't appear to have 50's wiring layout for the bees, and also why the "50's" s/plate brackets don't have the "50's" slot head screw? Are these just examples of exceptions which prove the rule? Thanks. |
