Mike - glad I could help. She is going to be one amazing guitar once you get her all finished up. Thanks for all of your help as well with my many questions about late 60's LP's. That pickguard looks right at home on your guitar!

Any concerns about the color of the pick guard not matching the color of the pickups?

Are you going to put nylon saddles on the bridge?

That's a very common trait of vintage Les Pauls.

Are you getting her aged up too Mike? I'm sure DJ will do an awesome job as always whatever you choose.

...aging?...we'll see...

...nylon saddles?...maybe...

...except for the jackplate and a '61 switch tip,the plastic on the guitar is the original stuff and the pickguard is a rolled '69 guard...

...long tenon route with trans. tenon and filler block. As to it's value, opinions will vary.
I consider what I paid for it very reasonable.

Can you post a pic of the tenon route? I have seen people on ebay trying to sell ones like that & advertising them as a long tenon.

... mapleflame was kind enough to explain it to me what it was.the guitar probably missed getting the long tenon by a few weeks.a lot of changes happened in '69.
