YES !! I do agree Bursts are way out of control in the $$$$$$$ dept !!! And way out of reach from the average guitar player !! But it's always nice to dream right ??? If I ever go the vintage route , I'd probably get a 52 and do a conversion on it to get bang for the buck !!!!! |

Re: What Would YOU DO to Own a Real BURST ???
There isn't much that I WOULDN'T do for a Burst. I'd be ashamed to even start a list of terrible things that I'd do for a Burst! I'd do anything mentioned in this thread for starters, and let it get crazy from there!

so anyone who owns a burst isn't a guitar player?, thanx for clearing that up for me. tell ya what, why don't you sit by the phone and wait for the call on your $250.00 burst.you are by far the most generous guy i've ever seen. ever notice it's the guys that don't own vintage ,that are always waiting for the market to tank. until that time comes vintage sucks.same crap i've been hearing since 1972.i can't afford it ,so it sucks and is overpriced. ![]() |

Re: What Would YOU DO to Own a Real BURST ???
While I'd love to have a burst in the abstract, In the real world I don't think I'd enjoy having a guitar that required special security measures because of its value, and that I therefore wouldn't be able to play every day, take to gigs, etc.
I can see owning a $20K guitar. I just can't see owning a $100K guitar. Maybe if I had a bigger house...with a vault.... |

Re: What Would YOU DO to Own a Real BURST ???
for a 1959 in Mint Condition Id do quite alot actually lmao how about someone offers me one and then we can talk about things lmao. I would swim in an aquarium tank full of sharks stark naked in the middle of December :] then get out steal a car and go 125 mph before jumping out and letting it crash into a bus of school children. (maybe not the second part but the tank why not)

would you feel good playing one when you know it's stolen?
I've got the idea I wouldn't you'd never be able to show it to anyone because you risk recognition ![]()
