Thanks for all the nice comments, guys! And yes, Billy, good observation with regard to the logo placement. That's something that I had noticed as well.

And just a quick update...the guitar is currently in the hands of Dave Johnson, undergoing a restoration. The back is completed, and I believe the gold was sprayed this past weekend. I hope to have some pics to show you soon. So, stay tuned (no pun intended, of course)...

335, the neck (which is very comfy) measurements are as follows:

Nut width: 1.7"
Thickness at 1st Fret: .909"
Thickness at 12th Fret: .991"

And, in case you were wondering, it weighs in at a very manageable 8.6 lbs.

If you find any traces of purple metalflake paint, I know where it came from. :BIG GRIN: When I was a teen I had a `56 Goldtop that had turned a lovely moss green. I proceeded to give it a three step purple metalflake paint job over that gold/green top. The last time I remember seeing the guitar was when I lent it to a friend to take to a Halloween party.

Sorry, no trace of purple on this guitar (which actually turned out to be a '55 anyway)! The cavities tell the story on this one, showing no trace of anything out of the ordinary. Here's a photo showing how nice and clean the original paint was inside the neck pickup cavity:

Too late on leavin' them naked, Matt! I sent the '55 off for a refin back to gold about a year ago, and got it back a few months later, and the '59 Junior will likely be the victim of a nice aged TV Yellow finish in the near future. Just got here. Love that '55. You got a great logo placement up there. Very cool.

Mine, of course went the other way with the full route and burst. No regrets--just great to play a "burst".
