Re: Rist "workhorse"

A workhorse "special!" Killer.

Granted, I pretty much already have a DC Workhorse 2.

That said, you can't ever have enough Rists.

Time to go buy a piggy bank and start putting away some dollars.

That's my baby in production. Kinda like getting ultrasound pics, but not as creepy. Roman has been busting his tail to get mine done for a gig next week. What a dude! 50s P90s would be monster in this. Mine will have a Wolfetone in the bridge and a Thorn GT90 in the neck (sorta like a 50s Custom).

Re: Rist "workhorse"

Those are Awesome! Roman, you truly are Experienced! Yup, I picked up on that in your vid...

Is there a DC version in your plans? I'm sure a custom order could get that but I was wondering if it would make it to a production model.

Fantastic work Roman! You are indeed a great asset here. Thanks for all of your good efforts here. I have learned a lot and I'll try not to ask too many stupid questions!

Oh. Man. This is my guitar.

I need 3 years. Keep one for me. I have always loved the LP Jr. And this is everything awesome about it times 10.

Sounds good, but I think that that basic workhorse is just about perfect, beautiful and sleek in form but totally functional, a bit like a fine sporting rifle. A finely crafted instrument that will never look dated and will provide a blank canvas to each individual musician who chooses to wield it, allowing their own musical personality to shine through.

Great work, my piggy bank is filling slowly!

Re: Rist "workhorse"

Oh, I'm excited about mine.

Funny thing happened: My boss at work (who's a pill about me bein' at gigs sometimes because he wants me to be at home all the time for callouts) used to play...and he's been clearin' out his attic. He gave me all of these old songbooks.

I noticed at least 2 of 'em were the Who...and there's tons of Rolling Stones material (his favorite band from back in the day....he's pretty specific about "The Roger Miller recordings though).

I think the first thing I'm gonna do with that Workhorse...I don't even think I'm gonna try to play somethin' pretty on it. I'm just gonna bang a chord and let it ring out and go into some rock and roll!

Maybe one of these days I'll get enough nerve up to do some townshend windmilling...

(Side note...2 shows yesterday...almost 9 hours of being onstage. I was so tired last night...the crowd wouldn't let us leave...I finally got to the point where I was all "If you want us to keep playing, I'm gonna need to see some tits!" )

Damn if she didn't comply.

I figure if I'm gonna be onstage...yeah, the Rist would probably hit the spot for some raw rock songs....
