Re: Rist "workhorse"

Does a Workhorse II mean there is a two screamin' P-90 version of the workhorse in the works???

This could be just what the doctor ordered--

I saw that. Granted, Mean Mr. Mustard's a killer player, but it makes me happy that I made the decision to go with Roman for my next guitar.

What I love is that each one is different.

Thanks. They are after all completely hand made, and I try as best I can to tailor it to the new owner.

And I ain't got no cookie cutter machine.

These guitars seem to be incredible, but that last video just shows me that you can make them sound bad if you try hard enough.

If it even looks nearly as gorgeous as these other Workhorses, I'm right there with ya.

I really do consider Roman an artist when it comes to his guitars. I always figured even if he wasn't building guitars he'd be doing something like painting or sculpting or something else along those lines....

It's not the playing that bothered me.

EDIT: I'm sorry if I offended anybody though... I just didn't enjoy the tone coming from that amp. The playing was pretty good, better than I can do. If you guys really want to hear my playing, I'll share it. It's pretty primitive and I just didn't think anybody would care.

I looked in every drawer and cupboard in his kitchen, and can confirm this. (Didn't see any out in the shop either) He doesn't even have a decent kitchen knife, for manually cutting cookies...

I know what to get him for Xmas.

Dude...I keep spelling your name wrong! Sorry about that.

(I may have to start goin' by your name or "S". BTW...that was a fun jam yesterday, and thanks for giving me back some input on my cheaper guitars.)

Dude... with a name like Steve Jones, you can say may name all over and I'm still untrackable. Strength in numbers baby!

Good times yesterday... I put another track up on my FB page this morning.

He is making exactly that for me, right now. Wolfetone P90 in the bridge, Thorn GT90 in the neck. Cherry red, like his and Lee Jackson's.

I am waiting to see that. It sounds really cool. Those staple top thorn pickups are really nice sounding. I like my workhorse so much I am contemplating a second one with humbuckers.

The word desire applies here. I'm officially saving for one, including the ticket to go to LA and get it in person, and of course, have the honor to meet Roman.

Soon.

Here it is in the rough stages with donor P-90s

just to give you an idea Keep in mind however this is a custom order. The standard workhorse II maybe a bit different.
