Welcome to Wulfman’s “for sale” thread. I’ll be posting mostly MIJ guitars here with most of them LP copies but a few other types as well.

I’ve sold quite a few guitars over the past year or so, mostly in the MIJ Classifieds thread in the Other Les Pauls - My Les Paul Forums section. Lots of good guitars are available there too from MLP members if you are in the hunt for an MIJ LP or other Japanese guitars so do have a look over there as well for something that may be closer to your neighborhood.

Shipping is usually done by EMS (express air courier service) or by sea shipping via Japan Post. It is fairly expensive to send a guitar and prices vary according to country and weight so inclusion of hard cases or a heavy guitar will cost more. However, shipping two guitars at the same time can be as mich as 30% cheaper overall. Packages are insured up to declared value…which reminds me, some countries collect import taxes/handling fees which may or may not be significant.

My Paypal is linked to my Canadian bank account so I generally charge by Paypal invoice in Canadian$.

1981Greco EGC-800 Custom


1981 Fujigen-made EGC-800 LP. This has been played a bunch as shown by the refret job and replaced tuners. It is a “Super Sound” model that was made during the Super Real era of Greco models.

- 4.38 kg
- PU-2 pickups
- Mahogany neck/back and maple cap.
- Real mother of pearl inlays
- Rosewood fretboard
- Lacquer finish
- Has been re-fretted with jumbo frets
- Tuners are non-original Gotoh. Extra holes from previous 2-screw tuning pegs are not filled.
- Minimal fretwear on the new frets

2004 Epiphone Japan Lacquer Series LP



Epiphone Japan Lacquer Finish series LP. These were made in Japan for a brief period from 2004 to 2006 as far as I can tell. Compared to the Elite/Elitist series they have a different top carve and much thicker necks. They are becoming harder to find these days.

Description:
- 3.9 kg
- Lacquer finish. It is quite thin.
- Long tenon
- a few light scratches and minor dents that are difficult to photograph
- Almost no noticeable fretwear
- Long tenon
- 2-piece center matched back and top
- Thick profile neck. 22 mm behind 1st fret and 25.5 mm behind the 12th fret measured from fretboard to back of neck.
- Comes with original Fujigen-made PAF-style pickups.

- Neck is fairly thick, I’d call it a 59 profile.

For sale: 1981 Greco Super Real Strat

Important: I don't know what model this is as it is not in the catalog. The tuners are original but are not the Kluson type. The neck is like a 60's profile and the frets and fretboard are very nice. The body has lots of checking and wear so I don't know if this is from the original condition or of somebody relic'd it. There has been some alteration to the body as well. It could have been a Jeff Beck Super Real model that has been altered.

- It has a 60's profile strat neck.

This was one of the top models for Greco before the Super Real series.

- Manufactured by Fujigen in Japan.
- Ebony fretboard with MOP inlays and headstock inlays.
- 4.6 kg / 10.1 lbs
- It has a medium profile neck.
- Medium tenon
- Original gold Grover tuners
- 2-layer pancake mahogany body with a maple cap. Neck is 3-pc maple. This is a pretty faithful copy of a 70's Norlin Gibson custom.
- I believe this was refinished at some point to white. Finish is worn, chipped and faded in spots with a fair bit of sticker damage in the back. Made to be played as is or a good candidate for a refinish. See pictures for details.
- Dimarzio PAF pickups
- Frets are in good shape, 8/10. Please see pictures.

How long is delivery from EMS, usually?

It is usually delivered to the country in 1-2 days and the the buyer as fast as 3 days depending on the local post office but usually 5 days is about average. If customs decides to hang on to it there can be delays of a few days as well.

I have no more Greco customs but they are fairly common. Ebay seller Chingo seems to have a fair number at decent prices from what I have seen. The ones with ebony boards are fairly rare. Making it known that you are looking for one in the MIJ Classifieds in the Other Les Paul section would be a good idea.
