Oh, duh... looks cool though dudn't it? It's a vintage movie projector speaker (Bell and Howell) loaded with the original 12" Jensen.

Shipping cost obviously depends on where you want the stand to go. Costs to the lower 48 states have averaged between 15 and 30 bucks. Canada is about twice that. Europe has ended up being right at 100 and so has Australia. The stand that will be given away has a street value of 400 plus freight, so it's an awesome deal regardless of where you live, but even better if you live close to zip code 37641, where it will be shipped from. The only way to know for sure is to run an estimate using bath locations, and they are usually within about 5 bucks accuracy. I also always insure the stands that get shipped, though I have yet to have one damaged. One time the USPS driver left one out in the piss poring rain along with all our Christmas cards like a dummy, I thought it was a possible goner, but I had it in a plastic bag inside the box and it was saved. Since then I always, always wrap the stands in plastic to avoid any water damage as well.

To answer the above question about where the contest is being held, it is been condusted on the Atlas Amp Stands forum so that I can personally moderate and administrate the contest posts. I write the names onto small identical wood blocks and drop them into a container with a small opening up top. When the time comes I shake the hell out of the container for a few minutes to thoroughly randomly mix up the contestant's names inside. Then when I turn it upside down the first name to come back out is the winner. Very similar to bingo, or a lottery tumbler.

It is 19.5 inches wide and has an adjustable backrest as well as a cable storage tether. It has a figured seat and backrest panels as well. made of solid black walnut (not a cheap wood or laminated MDF) The picture does it absolutely no justice. I may take a few better pics today to post here for everyone to get a better idea of what it looks like. Some lucky guitar player is going to get a sweet amp stand for sure. Retails for $400 and the tuner would be another $80.

Back in the day my whole kitchen was a callage of forks, spoons, mugs, plates, glasses etc from the bar. We even had some beer pitchers from somewhere. When you play in the band they let you out the back to load out and things just seem to find a way into the van

I think I still have one of the pint glasses today!

HEY NOW - I didn't say I took it home. That pic is actually in the club on stage, I 'borrowed' the chair from the bar area and put it on stage.

Now that giant margarita glass at my house that holds spare change...
