Re: MHD update thread

Check your pm. I will post what was done today for tomorrow as soon as I box stuff. Those that I said would ship last week I never made it to the po so no one shipped last week. I am doing those as well as few others tomorrow. Monday I will be doing 6 more sets and that should catch me up.

Re: MHD update thread

Well, i tried out the MHD HW+ set for a little while yesterday, nice work Rayne, 3 dimensional cleans an enough grow to slay metal too, dig the Eq response, nice balance

One more set for me shortly, this one found a home next door, a student needed an upgrade BAD, and well, now he's a very happy chap

Let me get some more playing time on these and il throw up a review, very nice pups though, perfect replacement for the JB/Jazz combo with soul thrown back in the wind, very cool.

Single coil. A5 magnets. They're great! They definitely retain all the Strat qualities I like and the bridge is just hot enough so it's clear, ballsy, and nowhere near sterile.

The Crooked Halos were also great, by the way. Even a bit hotter with A2s they were very nicely compressed. I'd bet they would be perfect for an ash bodied maple necked Strat.

Re: MHD update thread

no I'm not kidding. All the other pickups I have ever bought came with springs and screws. So since the nearest guitar center is more than an hour away, and I am in school fulltime it's not feasible. I am asking 'cuz I figure it is just a mistake or he doesn't send em. Be nice for everyone who orders to know. My guit is also not here it is getting a full wiring redone about 1000 miles away from here, and when the pickups arrived in the mail from rayne, they didnt have screws and springs so I am trying to track them down.

Yes, standard Gibson ones. Luckily I kept the springs and screws when I sold my Gibby pups.

I didn't get any screws or springs with mine, either. If you pm me your address I'd be happy to send some your way. I have at least two extra sets around.
