MHD update thread - Page 15

I do the big problem is my post office here and that I have a paperwork problem. I currently have a set that just made it to the Netherlands customs 2 and a 1/2 months later. I am now going through the Jackson PO which is the main hub and so far jhave had no problems. Chupe I am gonna redo the T-top again and the custom wind again and ship them again Tuesday.

I'll vouch for the capt. My tracking said nothing for a whole month except the original 'Accepted at the PO' and arrive a couple of days ago down in oz. My tracking still says they're on the way *rolls eyes*

Yeah USPS Delivery Confirmation isn't as detail as FedEx or UPS is.

Yeah it sucks. What am I to do. Most tracking unless it is door to door international which is expensive as hell, stops at customs. I have had a few sets gone daddy gone and once they hit customs the insurance is up. But I refuse to charge the 30 bucks for door to door international with insurance.

Oh no complaints from here. I've had it shipped before the same way and tracking was fine and thorough and other times it was useless. I think its an issue that just has to do a lot with luck.

The bad thing (and good I guess to stop illegal activity) about Australian customs is that things are thoroughly checked before they're released which can hold stuff back for quite a while. The good thing is we have a tax free threshold of $1000 on stuff we buy overseas. Not sure how things work in other countries though.

My experience with tracking has not been to good ether. It can show that the package has just arrived at customs while the stuff already arrived the day before!

And dutch customs can take a while to process things... Dang them

USPS has always arrived within 2-3 weeks from the states to Australia for me, Jonesy has stuff sent at $15 and i have never had an issue, maybe he is in a diiferent state and that makes a difference, i really dont know too much about it, but USPS has been good so far, Fedex runs into customs issues every so often so i avoid them like the plague

Well my set just arrived and made it's way into my guitar!

It's a custom 8.6 - 7.8k(-ish.. I forgot the exact numbers) set.

First impression..... HELL *!@*&@ YEAH! Clear, articulate and cleans up GREAT. Very nice string separation too! Rayne, your the man!

Now, excuse me, but I've got to get playing again

I'll have a review up when i get some more time with them. But so far, I'm more than impressed already!

well my pickups arrived and I have installed them and all I can say is WOW they are eveything that I have read on the other post on MLP and awhole lot more, they can be very clean turn up the volume and gain and they can become very dirty, aggressive but very clear.

Gabe sorry for the delay on the free set there bud. I got back ordered on the slugs for your set. I am waiting on them right now. I have yours and about 6 other sets just waiting on them right now. They are all screwed together with 2 slugs in each so I could get them all assembled. They should be in any day now for you and others.

All the free custom sets are leaving this weekend or by Monday. I am waiting on new wire to start the next batch as 2 lbs of my last roll kept breaking. I will have the new wire in by next Wednesday and all the new orders I am trying to get out by next Saturday for hopefully a Christmas delivery,

Thanks, appreciated and understood. I'm no stranger to waiting on parts as well so I know the frustration with that. I ordered 200 knobs from a new supplier and they all came with horrible casting and cracked/broken bases and misaligned paint. I'm currently waiting on the replacements which will hopefully be better quality, meanwhile I've been on hold for the next batch of pedals for over a month....all because of these bloody knobs!
