Im interested in some mods on my 03 LP Std. I have a SD Jazz for the neck and a Pearly Gates for the bridge. SHould I replace the pots and caps or just the caps? What do your full pre-wired kits run? Thanks in advance for info on your products.

Greetings, 03' Standard LP, stock ceramic disc caps marked 223 and probably a little harsh and bitey especially with that Pearl Gates in the Bridge. A Good set of PIO Caps would help for sure. Those Gibson Pots are not considered by many players to be all that great. New CTS 500k would have much better feel and operation as well as better Tone. Drop in harness for your LP with .022 Sprague PIO caps, vintage cloth wire, volume blled kits run around $75 includes S&H for MLPF. You probably don't need a new 3 way switch or input jack but you can add those for $25 and they come pre-wired...here are some pics of a Lefty kit I mailed out today.


I toss in the volume bleed kits and you can add them on later, I run a bleed kit on the neck of my 99'LP Special and none on the bridge.

Had the kit for quite some playing time now. Money well spent. Next guitar purchase will be getting some tone mojo from you! I am still hesitant about the bleeds. I may try them out after the new pups get in. As for the stock pups... I am ready to get some good sound. For some reason I can't quit playing blues. Since I put my stock pups in the flipped the neck backwards and the sound is perfect!

About $20, just kidding dawg Not a huge difference, they are both .047 PIO caps, some of the Bees will drift far of specs so that can change Tone. The GOODALL's a Sweet, smooth creamy PIO caps.
The Bees do have a sorta "Vocal" Tone, warm and crisp. I have some Russian K40 PIO silver cased caps coming in a few weeks from the Ukraine. I just told Diceman about them. They will be .03's and .047's great for P-90's Bright Humbuckers and Vintage - Hot Strat & Tele pickups. Let me know if you want a few I will hook you up when they get here? Hows the weather down there bro, it's Freezing here Indiana?
