Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

Well first of all a HiFi stereo is recreating a very wide spectrum of frequencies that are both above and below those produced by a guitar - at least the most desirable frequencies.

You could hook up subs and tweets; but you would just rob power from the frequencies you like and waste them on those you don't. I don't think that would sound very good. I do think that a 12" and 10" would sound very good together in a mono amp - instead of a 2x10 or 2x12. That would give you a wider range of frequencies.

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

We are supporting the Health Alliance for Austin Musicians Health Alliance for Austin Musicians Benifit Day. 5% of proceeds will go to HAAM through 10/4/11.

Help me help the 8,000 musicians working here in Austin - many holding down multiple jobs - with no heath insurance for their families. Check out the HAAM website for more info.

You will still get the special MLP pricing of $1500 AND be able to donate $75 to help a fellow musician. I know that proceeds usually referes to the profit margin; but I want to do better than that!

Thanks for your help in this

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

Don't forget- All orders through 10/4/11 (Tuesday) will not only get you the MLP friends & family discount ($200 value); but makes a $75 donation to Health Alliance for Austin Musicians.

HAAM provides low-cost health insurance for local musicians and their families - mainly through this benefit event. I hope everyone who can help will at least make a donation through the HAAM website Health Alliance for Austin Musicians

Here is a link to make a donation Donate

If you can't order an amp right now, but would like to make a donation, please use the above link. Here are some testimonials from the website:

"If you need someone to sing the praises of HAAM, then you can call on me. It has literally saved my life. I just had a by-pass and stent put in. I was born and raised in Austin and have been a musician all my life (so far). This is the first time that as a musician, I have been able to afford to go to a doctor. I want to thank God, Ray Benson and Seton Medical Group. With out the help of y'all, I would be looking at a short and scary life. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! - Anonymous HAAM member"

"This is whithout question the most appreciated and helpful community service ever offered to the musicians of Travis county (or any other county, anywhere). I for one shall be grateful forever for this compassionate and dedicated health care program. Much thanks. - Joseph P Kennedy, Jr."

"HAAM has provided me and many other Austin musicians with such valuable health care and support in an industry where these needs are largely ignored. It's been a pleasure to receive such attentive, knowledgeable and timely care at the HAAM sponsored clinics. I hope to play and work in the Austin music scene for many years, or hopefully decades, and HAAM is providing a much appreciated tool that will surely add vitality and a longer duration to the lives of individual musicians and the Austin music community as a whole. For this I'm eternally grateful... thanks! - Kevin Carroll Austin guitarist, singer/songwriter and producer"

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

Randelli,

This is a great cause, good for you for supporting it.

I saw the show "Texas Music Connection" hosted by Ray Benson last night, and the episode featured his Birthday Party, which was a benefit for HAAM. They had several musicians giving testamonials about how the organization had helped them in a time of need.

We all get so much joy from music - and it is such a shame that the people that make it for us have to struggle so often. I've supported these charities in Austin since back when I lived there. We all need to be "Patrons of the Arts".

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

Just a reminder - today and tomorrow are the days that I can donate 5% of the sales price, from any RUDE MOOD amp, to help local Austin musicians get healthcare through HAAM Benefit Day | HAAM Benefit Day

The actual benefit is tomorrow, October 4, and everyone else is just donating from sales of that day. Everyone else is also a restaurant, or someplace that generates a lot of sales, so their contribution will be pretty substantial. My business is very small in comparison so I am covering more days.

Help out if you can

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

I received word from a fellow MLP member that your amps were great, and after checking out the demo vids, I would strongly agree. How much would you let one go for ($1500??) I've been playing for 4 years and am looking to permanently upgrade my amp to compliment my LP. Thank you for bringing your amps into the market and good luck in the future with your business.

1500 sounds good, does it include shipping? Around how much would the total cost amp and shipping be to ship to VA

Glad you like the demo videos!

I do sell the RUDE MOOD 2x10 combo to MLP members for $1,500 plus shipping. I do not know the shipping rate to VA, offhand, but I recently shipped one to CO for $40. Check out this thread for more sound clips and reviews NAD - Rude Mood

Re: RUDE MOOD Amplifiers

South Austin Music is VERY interested in featuring the RUDE MOOD line!

This is my favorite music store in Austin - at least of the stores I have been able to visit- which I think are all of the major ones. I gladly pay a little more for strings and things just to go hang out and support the people there

I think we are getting together next week for a proper demo. I just popped in yesterday and we started talking about the amps again. One thing led to another........
