Reverb???
I have an old 66 Fender bassman head that has been converted into a 1x12 combo amp. This thing sounds great, but it has no reverb. What would you recommend?

Re: Reverb???
Both really. I play in a classic rock / rock band. Anything from brown eyed girl, to satisfaction, to whipping post, to wonderful tonight.

Re: Reverb???
I was going to suggest fender reverb tank if you played clean but if you like crunch and your amp hasn't got a flexible fx loop I think you'd be better using something else... have you considred having a good amp tech fit a reverb circuit to your amp??

Re: Reverb???
Reverb should really only be added at the desk but for jamming at home the dano corned beef is cool.

Re: Reverb???
umhmmm I don't think I can agree 100% but I know where you are coming from.... BTW, my best friend has got a great recording studio and he uses 2 modded Fender reverb tanks to get the stereo reverb during the mixing of the albums. To be able to do so he uses a DI box and a reamp.

Re: Reverb???
A slight touch of Analog Delay can give a you Reverb effect. Plus you'll have a Delay if you need it.

Re: Reverb???
just get a real spring verb...they are not too expensive...Sound on Sound magazine has reviewed a few in the past and you should be able to search the web site....
if that cost too much I would go with a analoge deley pedal (I really like EH's stuff)...IMHO digital pedals do not sound good enough (exculding the re-isssue of rolands space echo and TC electronics pedals) Peace |
