U2-ish weird old tune o'mine...

I found this little clip I recorded some time back. I almost forgot about it. The thing is a used a Korean Epi Dot with a Harmonic Design Z90 bridge p/u, a DiMarzio PAF neck p/u, a DOD Gonkulator pedal and the first batch of the infamous POD.

I selected the middle position ( both pickups on ), plugged in the pedal then the "clean" POD ( tube preamp mode ) and the onto the PC. I found a trippy sounding backing and improvised some weird stuff on top of t... totally out of the top of my head.
All the wacko distortion was produced by this incredible pedal. I sold the guitar and the pedal long time ago but I still find this clip kind of cute. I guess I was listening to a lot of the zooropa-era Edge playing at the time.

Never heard of that pedal. what kind of thing does it do to the sound, distortion and some kind of modulation or something?

ring modulation plus raspy distortion

it can be found cheap in second hand places sometimes. Very fun pedal and very unique if you enjoy an off-the-wall approach towards guitar playing.

I remeber that didactic video by Adrian Belew "Electronic Guitar". I still have the VHS tape. I am pretty sure he'd love this set up.

That is one crazy looking/sounding pedal, I liked the drum groove on that track .
