Les Paul JR pots/wiring ( RS Guitar works)

So are Les Paul JR's typically wired with two 500k pots? The RS Guitarworks kit uses a 500k and a 250K. which makes it darker right? Sorry cant remember.

The 250K Tone is how the old ones were wired. Thicker mids...
