Question for Habanero users

Does having a chrome pickup cover reduce RF interference? I know that humbuckers do this to an extent but is it improved with a metal cover? Does WB solder the cover to the pickup ground?

How does a metal cover affect tone (assuming it does)?

Thanks,
Will

Re: Question for Habanero users

IMO a cover take away some of the highs, so you get slightly less presence in the pickup.
Thatīs the difference a got with a Gibson 500T.
Donīt know about the RF interference.

Re: Question for Habanero users

some people liken putting on a cover to switching from 500k to 300k pots

Re: Question for Habanero users

IMO covers always off. You can't roll off highs that are not there.

Re: Question for Habanero users

Thanks guys.

I do want to have access to some glassy sounding cleans, so I'll opt for no covers!
