Backing tracks
Well, I'm a newbie. Actually I don't even play. I'm more like the gear acquisition guy for my 13 yr old son. Anyway, I wanna find some kind of box that we can patch through his amp to play a continuous rhythm track of drums or bass that he can play along with.
After working his way through Slipknot, Korn, Etc... to my generation of Metallica, Van Halen and Zeppelin. He's recently discovered blues. Mostly because I showed him the MLP players rally link and he's been listening to River's blues covers over and over trying to play along. Inspiration is what I was looking for there and it worked. ![]() Anywho, I'm sure something is made for the backing track but I don't know what it's called to start shopping craigslist, etc. It would also be nice if he could record the backing and use his own. Any ideas? Thanks in advance. We lurk here every day and love MLP.

Re: Backing tracks
Ok, so a drum machine. DUH that makes sense. I wonder if his Digitech Valve RP-7 can do that in addition to the guitar effects pedals it has. Don't have a manual for it.
I'll also check out the backing tracks at MF. Those look pretty cool. Thanks guys!
