Pickups on my project guitar

Hey guys,
I've been working on a project guitar for about a month now and i'm at the point where i'm ready to buy some pickups for the thing. It's black strat and i'm wanting some opinions on favorite pickups. Looking for 2 humbuckers (active or not i don't care). I only play rock overall but i vary greatly in sound from Classic Rock to 90's Rock like Rage and AIC. I also play mainly lead guitar. Anything that has a good (i don't know how else to describe it) Kick your ass sound, Like that can support powerful riffs like Rage Against The Machine riffs. Any input helps, no one's wrong.

Thanks ahead of time.

You know about Throbaks?

And the hand wounds from David Plummer (Zhangliqun)?

Re: Pickups on my project guitar

there are so many options......... good all rounders are the SD JB/59 set, SD Full Shred set, the SD Lynch Sigs.

Dimarzio Super Distortions....

im thinking along the lines of a tighter kinda sound if you want a Rage....

Re: Pickups on my project guitar

Well, in the end I went with Dimarzio Super Distortion in the bridge and Tone Zone in the neck. Very respectable combo; enjoyin' the sound.
