Mick Taylor Soul VS a Very good technical player

I recently watched this clip on youtube. What struck me was how important SOUL is when playing. This is a GREAT example....The first player is a super guitarist....technically probably BETTER than Mick Taylor...BUT.....Once Mick lights off, it's LIGHTS OUT!!!! Play attention to how SOFTLY Mick starts his solo off....He BUILDS it one note at a time....the result is BETTER than the other player even though the playing isn't...Something to remember...
