Pickups for my LP classic...
Hi,
I'm looking to replace the 496 and 500 Gibson pu's out of my Classic Plus. I dig the fat bell like tones harmonics I squeeze out of the neck but the 500t bridge is just ok. Great if all I want to do is full force hard rock. Not to mention I'd like pickup set with nickel covers to match the rest of my hardware. I play classic rock so I don't want any overly harsh or scooped metal sounds. Don't suggest SD 59's cuz i done tried them and they did have enough power. I particularly would like suggestions from the SEymour Duncan line cause I don't have 400.00 to spend on pickups. thanks for any suggestions |

Great, another friggin boutique winder. ![]() Bloody cheap pickups that's for sure. I'd personally love to try a set of Wolfetone Marshallheads and a set of his Caretakers. They look great and Wolfe seems to be very highly regarded that's for sure.

The Hot Rod 59's and the Modern Vintage look very interesting especially at those prices.

Re: Pickups for my LP classic...
will makes killer pickups no doubt... but if you buy a set dont expect to get them quick.... not trying to be a jack ass (that comes naturally) his orders/past orders are taking up a lot of his time...
