Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh....

There goes my night of playing/practice Just broke my last high E string and the stores are closed... Was a brand new set of DR Pure Blues I just put on like 3 days ago too! Was meaning to get some more for back ups but didn't get there today. I guess not all sets are equal seeing how the last set was on for almost 2 months!

Lesson: Buy in bulk and NEVER get down to less than 4 sets.

Re: Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh....

I know you happen to break your last one. But , I was wanting to know if you like DR Blues better than what you use to use? I have been reading more about them lately and thought about trying some( DR's).
Please tell about the tone and bend ability your getting. I read they are easier to bend. I was going to pick some up at GC the other day but remembered that MF had a 3 pack for 10 or 11 dollars. I think that just 2 sets are Blues and you get a set of Black Beauties along with them. Just waiting on getting up an order to save.
Has anyone every used the Black Beauties ? Just wondering I personnally havent used anything DR makes but like what I have read on this site.
Thats enough questions for now.lol Just staying up late and have to be quite( babies) So checking up on all the gossip here tonight that I drop a line.

Re: Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh....

The DR's are much better than the Dunlop nickel plated ones I was using. They sound/sustain much better to my ears, and they feel slinkier on the bends. I went and got them after reading a post here about them as well and was impressed. I have changed to them even though they cost a little more, but they are worth it to me.

Re: Aaaarrrrgggghhhhh....

I have always kept at least one or two extra packs of Reg. Slinkys in my guitar case, been doing that for about 30 years. Breaking a string at home is one thing. breaking one at a gig and not having one is another.

+1. Extra string packs: Never leave home without one!
