Can a Rock Band have a Semi Hollow guitar say for harmony and sometimes rhythm and a Solid body for rhythm and lead?
If there are any bands like this can you please tell me?
Thank you everyone

Mick Taylor-era Stones. Keef often used a 335, while Taylor played a burst.

Bust isn't a Semi-Hollow more for Classic Rock?

It's a chambered Duo-Jet. Mal is so small a fellow, it looks like a huge full hollow-body in his hands.

Metal payers won't find the sustain they're looking. Foo Fighters switch between solid, semi-hollow, and hollow whenever they feel like it...often to good effect. Dude from Interpol uses a 1990's Casino, or at least he used to.

Izzy from GNR used hollow and semi-hollow Gibsons, but I don't know if this is now considered classic rock. It's a nebulous label.

Oh, I'm into playing more modern stuff
But I when I went to GC and tested a Semi Hollow out it sounded amazing on clean but the overdrive was eh...
The reason I brought this up is because I wanted to join a band me being lead and using a solid body while my friend was going to be rhythm but he wanted a semi hollow...

As long as the player of the archtop isn't applying insane amounts of distortion on the amp, it should sound pretty good...

Nah, not necessarily.

I've got LP's...I just ordered an archtop. Some of the greatest rock sounds ever recorded were done off an archtop...

This is one of my favorite tones out of a guitar....EVER...

EDIT: You'll have to click the link. But anyways, here's another example of....really, really crappy archtop tone....hahahahah.....
