50's Wiring vs. Modern Wiring, Opinions Please
I'd like to hear from all of you guys that have swithed from Modern Wiring set-up to 50's wiring or vice versa.
Very soon, I plan on installing the RS Guitars upgraded pots on my R8. I also plan on installing the Luxe BumbleBee Caps or the Vitamin Q .022 Caps. I am at a loss whether to stick with the Modern Wiring or switch over to the 50's Wiring. What are the advantages of the 50's wiring? Is it that much of an improvement over the Modern style? Also, which Caps do you prefer: the Luxe BB or the Vit. Q? Please fell free to chime in with your opinions. Thanks.

I prefer the 50's wiring. To my ear the guitar stays a bit brighter as you roll off the volume.
If you're a "leave the volume on 10" guy (which I used to be) then the wiring doesn't really matter; after I put my RS kits in I turned into a knob tweaker...LOL. I have Luxe BBs in two of my guitars, and Vit. Qs (purchased from MLP member Jonesy) in another. They both sound great. BB

With my LP I use the modern wiring with a twist. I'm always tweaking my knobs too but I use the slight high end drop to my advantage. I also like how the cap/pot loads the signal.
