Amps

Hey guys!
Jordan Sky here again, a few questions and looking for some opinions.
I've been looking around at amps and was wondering what everyone liked
Combo or Cabinet/Head?
And what brand?

I've actually liked the Line 6 Spider III Combo

I also wanted to know if you could put an amp head on a combo amp?
Or connect 2 combo amps?

Thanks!

I like combos but I own both for me it just seems easier to move around a combo (even when it is heavy)....

I own fender, marshall, vox, roland (jc120) and more

use you can use the speaker from a combo connected to an head...but, make sure you have the right ohms....

last question????????????????.....some fender allow you to run the pre out to another amp.....an amp must have an speaker hooked up....

Re: Amps

There is a rather active Amp forum here on MLP. Try your questions over there for additional exposure.

Re: Amps

Well when because I travel I carry with me a combo because of the lack of space most hotels I live in. When I decide to stop traveling I migth end up with a half stack. I would like to have a Bugera half stack. Maybe a 333xl version

Yeah, Half Stacks are pretty big and heavy
I like Combo amps for when I am going places

I want a Marshall 1960AV!
My dad had one when I was younger and it almost fell on me
So I am scared to death of them

But thank you

I would never assume that.....in my mind combos are gig amps as much as any head/cab....really the difference is something that you have to experence to know which type you perfer to haul around....

I just got tierd of carring an jcm800 and a 4-12...hard to fit into my car...really hard to get up stairs....way too loud....BUT IT DID LOOK REALLY COOL...

at the same time I went from playing more rock type stuff (marshall) to more bluesy jazzy type stuff (Fender)....that is proably more at the root of the change then anything else

use what ever you want....and enjoy

Re: Amps

Come on guys. Do you want to sound good or like CRAP! Buy good amps!!!!! Top Hat, Bad Cat, Matchless, Dr.Z i could go on forever. There are tons of fabulous amps that make you sound godly but none of them except the jc120 are solid-state. Never get a solid-state crap emulation amp
