Who is helpful, and who is not
I don't usually do this, but I am so incensed that I feel I have to share a really negative experience.
I am in the process of modding a guitar or two. Billy at RS Guitarworks has been super-helpful and friendly. So have the guys at Antique Electronic Supply, Todd at Seymour Duncan, the people at Dimarzio all have gone out of their way to have a discussion over the phone about wiring and capacitors, and then picking out the best pickup combination. One store hasn't, and the experience was so insulting that I have to share it with you. Whoever answered the phone at Angela.com was an absolute jerk. He referred all inquiries to e-mail, although there is nothing specific that I could see on his website that indicated such. When I told him that I wasn't finding out the information that I needed on his website and that is why I was calling, he said " ... well, then you will have to go elsewhere..." Buddy, believe me, I will!!! In the competitive business climate, I guess he is successful enough that he thinks he can afford to be a total jerk who is incredibly rude to a customer who was willing to spend his hard earned money. Heres to you, Angela.com!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() :w tf:

Wow! That's a pretty stupid way to conduct business, thanks for letting us know. What is it you were looking for BTW?

Re: Who is helpful, and who is not
They were rude to me once over email. If was a purchase I made over Ebay
I ordered 2 Fender switches. They sent me 1, in one package. I emailed them about it and they accused me of lying to try to get another one for free, but said that they'd go ahead and send me one anyway. My issue was settled, but it left me with a bad impression. I buy parts elsewhere now.

Re: Who is helpful, and who is not
I'm really glad I read this. I was going to order a set of Fralin Pure PAFs from Angela.com since they are only an hour away from me. Not anymore.

Re: Who is helpful, and who is not
thanks for the heads up. will definitely add that to my own personal "do not call" list
customer service goes a long way for me and I'm willing to pay a little bit extra and support businesses that treat their customers right.that being said, I'd like to add a few of our MLP vendors on here to the "helpful" list: MHD Pickups, Martin Six String Customs and Jonesy. Just ordered from those 3 MLP sponsors and had a great experience! Hope to add some review threads on their products soon, just waiting on getting one more guitar re-assembled with my tech. But I'll definitely be sending more of my dollars their way soon! |
