Dimarzio LP wiring vs StewMac Wiring

Could someone please tell me the net effects or differences tonally between the two different wiring diagrams?

I am in the process of upgrading the pots and capacitors in my LP, and am not completely convinced that a 50's wiring is the best solution. These seem to be alternatives.

I could really use the insights. Thanks.

None.

These both are 'modern' wiring. The order of tone cap and tone pot does not matter.

Why not? Not to be argumentative, I am trying to learn as much as I can about this circuitry. BluesDisciple has a really good question here. Putting the cap on either the active lug of the pot or a static lug of the pot has to make a difference in some way, but how? It would seem logical that the low pass filter of a cap would have a different effect dependent upon where it is soldered. But what that effect is, I don't know. Why would the two different manufacturers indicate that it is to be soldered in different places?

I am sorry. I did not look at these 2 closely. These are both vol pot->tone pot->cap->ground order. So not even that is a difference.

Tone pot is just a variable resistor and the same 2 lugs are used on both. Hence, there is no single logical reason to even speculate that these 2 might differ at all.

The difference as seen on these 2 schmatics comes from what a manufacturer finds as a more pratical way to do it - caps might be of a different size, common ground might be implemented through shielding or using a wire etc. Or from what a person who made the schematic finds easier to draw.

So, do rest assured that there is no difference in final result with these 2. No difference whatsoever.

Choosing one lug over other in shows a slight difference in its taper IME
