I´m thinking about getting a set of Raw Vintage saddles
![]() Raw Vintage for Strat like the ones shown above (which belong in one of Michael Tohmpson´s top axes) Any experience with these? they are expensive... so they better be good.

No idea. I have Callaham saddles in my strat and they work fine. They might work for you too, and you get to keep some cash in your wallet.

Ditto on the Callaham.. Stamped steel = correct material for tone. The slots are cut right up behind the raised part too which is a definite improvement.
But... The MT saddles look as good as the Callaham too.. Decisions decisions... |

10.8..? Thats enormous, you sure thats right?
Callaham string spacings run at 56.3mm standard, though I am pretty sure their Mexican Standad model will fit most japanese strat models. Check your string spacing for me again, it cant be 64.8mm total

Re: I´m thinking about getting a set of Raw Vintage saddles
PS. Those saddles look kind of thin, id stick with Callaham if it fits

Re: I´m thinking about getting a set of Raw Vintage saddles
I haven´t got my guitar with me right now but my understanding is that my saddles have a 2 1/8" (10.8mm) space E to E between strings while American saddles spacing is 11.2 mm. Maybe I did not explain myselt too well in the first place...

Re: I´m thinking about getting a set of Raw Vintage saddles
Thanks for that input
Most Japan strats are pretty wide by the looks, that could be a good thing, I hate the spacing on American strats, too close for my liking. Now you just gotta figure out what you have there 5F6-A.In all honesty that Raw vintage guide is confusing to me, i mean they state almost all Jap models are in the 11mm range but Gotoh(Japan/USA part number)・510T series is 10.8mm Is it Japan or USA maybe a bit of both LOL
