wiring difficulties
So I replaced my pickups and I don't know what I did wrong but the tone doesn't seem to work, it works when I tug on it but it just cuts off but volume works fine, I didn't even touch the tone pot, I soldered the hots, the grounds, and connected the black and white wires, and I have no clue what to do... Any suggestions, and going to get it checked by a pro is out of budget at the moment

Re: wiring difficulties
Post some clear pics of the wiring so we can see what is going on, that often helps.
Maybe it's just a bad solder joint or ground? Also check to make sure that nothing is bent and touching the pot lugs inside the cavity.

Re: wiring difficulties
So its like this when I loosen the tone bolt it works perfectly fine... But when I tighten it all the way it won't work... It only works when the nut is barely bolted but the whole pot is moving... But I did resolder everything and still nothing

Re: wiring difficulties
That sounds like one of hot wire or your cap might be touching the ground (like Blamo said),probably on the shielding paint of the cavity ...I have put cloth tape under the pot where the connectors are to fix this problem ...also make sure if you cap is near the shielding (like it is in 50's wiring) one of the ends are not touching the ground
